An interesting related evidence base can be found in "After: A Doctor Explores What Near-Death Experiences Reveal about Life and Beyond" by Dr Bruce Greyson, similarly rigorous evidence collection process by a scientist and medical professional. It's been a while since I read it but the gist I got was people were experiencing all sorts of spiritual phenomena in different forms when their consciousness went beyond, sometimes an all pervasive benevolent god-like intelligence, sometimes a sense of realising they are a wave but they are also the ocean, a more buddhist notion, sometimes experiencing deities from more than one tradition which were both in their heritage. This suggests a rich, complex, and diverse "spiritual multiverse" which I find even more exciting and perplexing than evidence for reincarnation.
It's also interesting that you are heartened by evidence for reincarnation (me too); Hinayana Buddhists sought liberation from this cycle; I've often been overwhelmed by the prospect of infinite existence as much as annihilation. But both are based in a limited view aren't they. I have this increasing sense of how we can transcend the grasping of infinity or finity. And also how important it is to try and not be an a*hole on a day to day basis lol!
