Let Go

Truly, time to let go

Let go of the need for things to be alright

Let go of the need for humans to prosper

Let go of the need for my consciousness to continue

Let go of my knowledge of letting go

Let go of my need to be well thought of

Let go of the need to be right

Let go of the need to let go when holding on is necessary

Let go of my desire for there not to be strife or conflict

Let go of my cringing at environmental destruction

Let go of the idea of a lifespan

of things to move forward

of happy endings

of my son to survive me

of people I know and myself to overcome our challenges

of aversion to things I don’t like or trust

……..

Gate, gate, parasamgate!

And maybe there is some space now

And sunlight may come in
